When a trip has multiple travelers, you can split an invoice so each person pays their share separately. Each traveler gets their own payment link and you can track balances individually.
Open any invoice and look for the Traveler Shares card. If no shares exist yet, you'll see an option to get started.
Click Auto-populate from trip to pull in travelers automatically. A dialog will show all travelers on the trip — uncheck anyone who shouldn't have their own share (e.g. children whose parents are paying).
JourneyFuse splits the invoice total evenly across the selected travelers, handling rounding so the amounts always add up exactly.
After auto-populating, click any share amount to edit it inline. Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel. This is useful when travelers are paying unequal amounts.
If the share amounts don't add up to the invoice total, a yellow Mismatch warning will appear.
Each traveler gets a unique payment link. Use the actions on each row:
The traveler's link shows:
No login or app download is required — the link works in any browser.
The Traveler Shares table shows three columns for each person:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Share | Amount owed |
| Paid | Total payments received |
| Balance | Remaining amount (red if unpaid, green if settled) |
A summary row at the bottom shows totals across all travelers.
When you record a payment and assign it to a specific traveler, it automatically reduces their balance in the shares table. This works for all payment types — manual payments, card authorizations, checks, etc.
Securely collect client credit card details, manage authorizations, and charge cards when ready.
Send payment reminder emails and automatic receipts to clients and individual travelers from the invoice page.
Record payments on invoices, assign them to travelers, and track payment history with status updates.
